The problem
STC Lawyers is an immigration law firm. Before Clio, client work was spread across Excel, Google Drive, a whiteboard and Gmail, and deadlines were checked by hand every week against the whiteboard and the spreadsheet.
The same visa type was spelled several ways in Excel, so filters could not be trusted. Some clients submit PDF forms that staff re-key by hand, and referrers are matched to contacts manually.
What we built
- Clio Grow intake: enquiry form, consultation fee, booking and the professional services agreement
- A lead only moves to Clio Manage once the agreement is both signed and paid
- One standard visa type list, so every matter is recorded the same way
- Clio Manage as the home for matters, documents and deadlines
