The problem
LightHouse.careers helps global talent and businesses thrive in Australia, and the people they want to reach read English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
They were in a hurry. Marketing for the launch could not start until there was a website to send people to, so speed mattered more than building a full platform up front.
They also planned for the site to grow into an app later, so we built it in Next.js from the start rather than on a marketing-only tool.
What we built
- A mobile-first website in Next.js with shadcn/ui, hosted on Netlify
- English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese with a language switch, plus a multilingual sitemap and SEO metadata
- A podcast section with their YouTube episodes embedded
- A mentors section and Google Reviews on the home page
- Candidate registration linked to their existing Google Forms, and Google Analytics from launch

The result
- Live at lighthouse.careers four weeks after kickoff
- One site serving all three language audiences, ready to send marketing traffic to
- Handed over with system documentation, built on a stack that can grow into a fuller platform later
